Facilities

Vidyasagar has so  many facilities which very few other schools can really be proud of, the emphasis this year has been on making the proper and optimum use these. The basic visible spectrum in and around Vidyasagar includes :

Bus Service
The school has a fleet of 17 buses. More are added as per need. They ply to all the corners of the city and surrounding areas.

 

 

 

Lunch
There is a large Dining Hall that can accommodate around 800 students at a time. The food is a vegetarian and cooked in a spacious, clean and modern kitchen equipped with solar heaters etc. Children are served simple nutritionally balanced , variety of dishes.

 

 

Play Grounds
A healthy body lives in a healthy mind. There are numerous facilities available for games and sports in the school. The outdoors games include Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Kho-Kho, Cricket, hockey and athletic.

There are halls for table tennis, chess ,carom badminton, gymnasium, skating yoga etc. The swimming pool is meant for the young students.

 

 

Laboratories
The school houses fully equipped, modern laboratories for subject like biology, physics chemistry, geography, computer science. A new bio-technology laboratory has recently been added. There is a junior science lab for the primary classes as well.

 

 

Library
It caters to the needs ofall the children and is also one of the attributes of vidyasagar. Has a spacious reading room consisting of subject wise books & general books with open shelf system .In addition to this leading Newspapers, journals,weekly and fortnightly Magazines well – informed and update them of the happenings world wide.

 

 

Computers
Vidyasagar has been doing a great job by introducing topics in computer science like; observing simple colourful story, scences to the skill of web designing.

Students enjoy learning computers Science because it involves a happy blend of the theoreticqal and practical knowledge.

Vidyasagar School had made a pioneering efforts to add a feather in it cap towards combining technology with the system of education in the classrooms learning process. Topics related to the curriculam are prepares as proper lessons adhering to the time allotted in the weekly time table.Student from Nursery to class XII view and learn in the Audio – Visual Room all that is required for the respective standard these include pictorial or cartoon stories yto serious mathematical problems.
